By now many of you know that Distortion will not be coming back in 2016.My name is Charlie Burchard and I have managed/owned the team since Randy Smith and his wife moved on to start Houston Heat 6 years ago.Randy Smith and Dave Pung started this team with their sons and Dst has been playing in national events since 2007.My son Nik and a few close friends joined the team in 2010 at world cup and the journey began.Distortion has been a huge part of my families life since thoses first days.My wife Gayle and I have been bless to have so many paintball sons! Distortion has never been the same team year to year, in many ways the team has been lucky to have so many talented players go though its ranks. Distortion has had a great run, and the last two seasons have seen some of our best times.But for a few of our core players, the coach and myself, the time has come to move to more real life pursuits.Its always hard to leave things you care about,but with this sport and at this level if you are not 100% in you are wasting time and money. I would like to thank the Smiths and the Pungs for starting such a strong team with their families, with family always being at the fore front. I would like to thank all the sponsors through the years that have kept our team strong with their gear, fields and store support. Also our fans and friends and families! Lastly my wife and I would like to thank all the guys that have played, coached, pitted and made this such a great part of our lives for so many years.
